SLEEP APNEA SURGERY
Nearly 40 million U.S. adults deal with obstructive sleep apnea. Untreated OSA can impact quality of life and place patients at risk for long term health effects (heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke). Positional devices, oral appliances, and Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy are options for some patients, surgical solutions may offer improved and long lasting results. Oropharyngeal surgery (tonsillectomy, palatoplasty) or nasal surgery (septoplasty, turbinoplasty) can offer surgical options to improve OSA or tolerance to PAP therapy. For patients with moderate to severe OSA who cannot tolerate PAP therapy, we offer Upper Airway Stimulation therapy, hypoglossal nerve stimulation and collaborate with Inspire to provide the only surgical solution in the region.
